Can EnduraCoat be applied directly over rust?
Yes. EnduraCoat can be applied over properly prepared surface rust. Remove any loose or flaking rust, dirt and contamination before application for the best results.
Do I need to use a primer first?
EnduraCoat is designed for direct-to-metal application, so a separate primer isn't normally required on suitably prepared surfaces.
Does EnduraCoat stay sticky?
No. Unlike traditional waxy underbody treatments, EnduraCoat dries to a durable coated finish while retaining slight flexibility.
How should I prepare the surface?
Remove loose rust, flaking coatings and dirt before thoroughly cleaning and degreasing the area. The surface should be clean and dry before EnduraCoat is applied.
Can I paint over EnduraCoat?
EnduraCoat is designed primarily as a finished protective coating. If you intend to apply another coating over it, we recommend testing compatibility on a small area first.
